"We are taking away some of the years of adolescence and childhood" from a generation, said Burne. A Los Angeles psychologist says he is sending kids to therapy for "homework-related anxieties." A study at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research determined that students spend an average of 25 anxious minutes a night on homework.
