Couldn't help but feel good about your Clearwater front page article on Dec. 27 about moving the osprey nest, until I took a closer look at your photo.Could it be that K.D. O'Connor, the person from Florida Power who has relocated hundreds of nests of these federally protected birds, has been blowing cigarette smoke in their faces for the past 11 years?
I wonder what the effect of secondhand smoke (although from the pictured proximity it could almost be firsthand) has on these poor creatures.
