At the National Press Club, outgoing chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts John Frohnmayer compared his ouster by President Bush to Munich in 1938. "If the National Endowment for the Arts gets picked off, public broadcasting is next, and after that research funds for universities, and after that research funds for science...
