The
New York Post, September 16, 1996:
Over a dozen Tinseltown producers, directors, and actors have vowed to
"shun Pennsylvania as a film location" until the state bans shooting
contests which use live pigeons as targets. The list of "Producers
Against Pennsylvania's Violent Pigeon Shoots," or PAPVIPS, includes
Alec Baldwin, Alicia Silverstone, and Dennis Leary, along with a host of
un-notables. Since the Keystone state doesn't exactly top the
prime-locations list, the embargo isn't exactly expected to cripple
its economy.
